Crackle Enamel is a very special technique of enameling... and by far, my favorite!

To put it simply this is a technique that requires the building up of several layers of enamel including a layer of crackle. While the pieces are being fired in the kiln, the bottom colors try to pull through the top. As you can imagine, there is no way to predict how the pieces will exactly turn out, and there is no way to get two to look exactly the same.
